Markets to witness flat start on Dalal Street
The Indian markets are set to begin the last trading session of the week on a flat note led by mixed global cues. SGX Nifty is trading 3.00 points higher.

The Indian equities may begin last trading session of the week on a flat note tracking mixed global cues. SGX Nifty is also trading 3.00 points higher.

From IPO section, Bharti Airtel arm, Bharti Infratel gets listed today on both the exchanges. Also the MPS Limited is coming out with Offer for Sale on December 28, 2012 .This issue would be available only for ONE day.

On Thursday (December 27, 2012), the Sensex closed at 19324, down by 94 points while the Nifty settled at 5870, falling by 36 points.

Daily trend of FII/MF investment in equities
The FIIs have been the net buyers Indian stocks to the tune of Rs891.30 crore on December 26, 2012. The domestic investors sold Indian shares worth a net of Rs110.80 crore on December 24, 2012. The data is as per the SEBI website.

GLOBAL INDICES

Japanese yen hit its lowest level in more than two years on Friday as expectations of drastic monetary easing intensify, underpinning Japanese equities, while Asian shares were capped by worries the United States may run out of time to avoid a fiscal crunch.

US Stocks fell for a fourth day on Thursday, but recovered most of their losses after the House of Representatives, in the barest sign of progress, said it would come back to work on avoiding the "fiscal cliff" this weekend.

Fresh concerns that the United States may fail to reach a deal to avoid growth-sapping fiscal measures weighed on European shares on Thursday, pushing a key index down from its highs.
