Market may continue to rise on global support
The Indian markets are set to begin trade on a positive note led by positive global cues. SGX Nifty is trading 5.50 points higher.

Today, the Indian markets may extend yesterday's rally and open in the green zone tracking positive global cues. SGX Nifty is trading 5.50 points higher.

On Tuesday (February 12, 2013), the Sensex rose 100.47 points to close at 19561.04, while the Nifty advanced 24.65 points to settle at 5922.50.

Daily trend of FII/MF investment in equities
The FIIs have been the net buyers Indian stocks to the tune of Rs985.10 crore on February 11, 2013. The domestic investors sold Indian shares worth a net of Rs110.50 crore on February 11, 2013.The data is as per the SEBI website.

GLOBAL INDICES

Asian shares inched higher on Wednesday (February 13, 2013) while the yen was firmer amid conflicting interpretations of G7 comments about the yen's recent weakness.

European markets ended higher on Tuesday (February 12, 2013), with Barclays PLC shares rallying after a positively-received earnings report and Spanish stocks gaining ground after encouraging comments from European Central Bank President Mario Draghi.

US stocks were mostly higher as investors absorbed earnings and looked ahead to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address.

Commodity cues
Crude oil closed higher on Tuesday (February 12, 2013) for a second straight session, as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries lifted its 2013 demand forecast.
